The Knights of Columbus support a culture of life. As part of our Faith in Action efforts, the Sacred Heart Knights recently donated $1000 to the Pregnancy Center of the Upper Valley to provide support to those seeking help and care during pregnancy.
The Sacred Heart Knights helped Father Charles prepare and run the annual parish Christmas fundraiser. This event not only allows the community to purchase fresh cut trees and wreaths to support Sacred Heart Parish, but also the opportunity for us to gather together outdoors to enjoy the warmth of a fire, the delight of hot cocoa and fried dough, and the fellowship of one another.
With the help of the Sacred Heart Knights and leadership of Len Angelli, the Sacred Heart Community Thanksgiving dinner delivered over 1700 meals to our friends and neighbors throughout the Upper Valley. Thanks to all who volunteered their time or made a donation to help make this year's dinner another successful and worthwhile event!
Immediately following 4:00pm mass on Saturday, October 19, the Sacred Heart Knights hosted our annual Oktoberfest event (held since 2012!) in the Sacred Heart Church Hall. Bratwurst, German chicken stew, pierogi, German potato salad, garden salad and dessert were on the menu for parishioners to enjoy dining in, or "to go". Köstlich!
Our Knights were in charge of the grill and the fryolator at the annual Sacred Heart Church Apple Festival. Grilled chicken, veggie burgers, corn, and cole slaw, plus fried dough for dessert. What a delightful feast! Also check out this Facebook video for a behind-the-scenes look at fried dough production!
After the 9:30 Mass, our Knights hosted a donut farewell sendoff for Seminarian Guillaume. We appreciate your service to our Parish and hope you will visit us again! We will keep you in our prayers and may God bless you!
Our Knights provided the delicious fried dough for our Parish movie night. Can you guess which movie? Hint: balloons, happy boy, and grumpy old man...that's right, Up!
Our officers for the 2021-2022 fraternal year were inducted in a ceremony held in Sacred Heart Church. Congratulations to all of our officers, and in particular our new Grand Knight, John Pomeroy. We are grateful to our former Grand Knight, Bert Blais, for his years of tireless service to our council. Special thanks to Fr. Charles and our District Deputy, Jon Roberts, for helping make this very special event.
We are grateful to Grand Knight Bert for orchestrating our Palm Sunday donut social. Special thanks to all of our young parishioners who stopped by for a sweet treat after Palm Sunday mass!
The Sacred Heart Knights wrapped up this year's Lenten Fish Fries with another delicious meal of fish and chips and dessert. We can't wait until next year when we hopefully all join together in the Parish hall for conversation and fun along with our meals! Thanks to all the parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to pick up dinner for home!
This week, the Sacred Heart Knights' Fish Fry was teamed with our parish blessing of St Joseph's Table. As Fr. Charles explained, with the Solemnity of St Joseph falling on a Friday, we were allowed to eat meat per Canon law 1251. Yummy! Thanks to all the parishioners who stopped by after the final St Joseph novena and Stations of the Cross to pick up dinner for home!
Another Lenten Friday. Another Fish Fry by the Sacred Heart Knights. They were so busy cooking, no one remembered to take pictures! Thanks to all the parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to pick up dinner for home!
Who are these masked men preparing our beloved fish and chips? The Sacred Heart Knights! Thanks to all the parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to pick up dinner for home!
Fish + potatoes + cabbage = delicious, when prepared by the Sacred Heart Knights! Thanks to all the parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to pick up dinner for home!
Immediately following the Stations of the Cross, the Sacred Heart Knights hosted the first Lenten Fish Fry takeout. Thanks to all the parishioners who stopped by to pick up dinner for home!
On Super Bowl Sunday, the Sacred Heart Knights assisted in the kitchen for the Pizza and Wings parish fundraiser. Truly amazing food! Thanks to all who supported the parish and took home some delicious food to enjoy while watching Brady and Gronk crush the Chiefs!
