The Knights of Columbus support a culture of life. As part of our Faith in Action efforts, the Sacred Heart Knights recently donated $1000 to the Pregnancy Center of the Upper Valley to provide support to those seeking help and care during pregnancy.
With hopes for a white Christmas, the Sacred Heart Knights helped Father Charles prepare and run the annual parish Christmas fundraiser. This event not only allows the community to purchase fresh cut trees to support Sacred Heart Parish, but also the opportunity for us to gather together outdoors to enjoy the warmth of a fire, the delight of hot cocoa and golden hash browns, and the fellowship of one another.
At a time when it's harder than ever for some to put food on the table, the Sacred Heart Community Thanksgiving dinner delivered over 1500 meals to our friends and neighbors throughout the Upper Valley with the help of the Sacred Heart Knights and leadership of Len Angelli. Thanks to all who volunteered their time or made a donation to help make this year's dinner another successful and worthwhile event!
Wow these guys know how to throw a party for the whole family! Immediately following 4:00pm mass on Saturday, October 22, the Sacred Heart Knights hosted our annual Oktoberfest event (held since 2012!) in the Sacred Heart Church Hall. Delicious German food and desserts for all! Köstlich!
Our Knights were again in charge of the grill and the fryolator at the annual Sacred Heart Church Fall Festival. Grilled BBQ chicken and fried dough were highlights on the menu. What a delightful feast!
On a beautiful late summer morning, the Sacred Heart Knights hosted Labor Day weekend donuts. Special thanks to all of our young parishioners who stopped by for a sweet treat after mass!
After the 9:30 Mass celebrating the May crowning of Mary, the Sacred Heart Knights hosted a coffee, juice, and donuts social. Special thanks to all of our parishioners who stopped by for a sweet treat after Mass!
After a joyful celebration of Easter Mass, the Sacred Heart Knights hosted a free Easter breakfast in the parish hall for all our parishioners. Wesołego Alleluja!
We are thankful that we were able to hold our traditional Lenten Fish Fries again this year, and grateful that we can provide these opportunities for fellowship to the Sacred Heart Church community. Thanks to all of our parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to enjoy a meal in our parish hall, or to enjoy delicious takeout at home! We hope to see many of you at our Easter breakfast after the 9:30am Mass on Easter Sunday!
April fools day? No fooling that our penultimate Lenten fish fry was an excellent community event for both young and old. We're seeing new faces every week and are looking forward to our final fish fry of the Lenten season next week! Thanks to all of our parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to enjoy a meal in our parish hall, or to enjoy delicious takeout at home!
Wow! 😳 On a Friday when we weren't required to abstain from meat (due to the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord), we had our biggest Fish Fry turnout of the Lenten season! Thanks to all of our parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to enjoy a meal with their parish family, or to enjoy takeout at home!
Sacred Heart Church hosted the "pilgrim icon" of Saint Joseph under the auspices of the Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus. Every few years, the Knights of Columbus selects an icon of a saint whose patronage is particularly inspiring to Knights and their communities to be featured in the Pilgrim Icon program. The icons travel from council to council and serve as the centerpieces for prayer services in parishes throughout the Order. The icon of St. Joseph traveled to us from St. Denis Parish in Hanover, before moving on to St. Mary's in Canaan. Saint Joseph, protector of families, pray for us!
Who's in charge of the menu? The Sacred Heart Knights! Fried fish, baked fish, french fries, cole slaw, mac and cheese, baked beans, salad, desserts, drinks and more 😲 Thanks to all of our parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to enjoy a sit down dinner with friends in the Church hall, or to enjoy takeout at home! And special thanks to those parishioners who bring a dish to share--we couldn't do it without you!
What's new? Baked fish! 🐟 In addition to our traditional deep fried fish, this week we introduced a baked fish option for those seeking a lighter fare--or for those who want to save room for more french fries! 🍟 Let us know what you think!?!? 🤔 Thanks to all of our parishioners who stopped by after the Stations of the Cross to share a meal with old and new friends, or to enjoy takeout at home!
WE'RE BACK!!! After much too long of an absence, we finally gathered again in the Parish Hall to enjoy our first Lenten Fish Fry of the season! Thanks to all the parishioners who stopped by for companionship and camraderie while dining with their fellow parishioners, or to pick up a delicious takeout dinner for home! Fried fish, crinkle-cut fries, cole slaw, baked beans, gluten-free pasta, yummy desserts, and more were all on the menu!
